Data Engineer

• Explore and clean raw datasets within Amazon Redshift to identify inconsistencies and bottlenecks. You will be responsible for transforming messy, fragmented data into structured, high-utility assets that serve as a single source of truth for the organization.
• Design, build, and maintain robust ELT/ETL workflows and data models. This includes managing complex dependencies, scheduling, and orchestration to ensure data flows seamlessly from AWS S3 into Redshift and remains accessible and up-to-date.
• Translate business requirements into high-impact, interactive dashboards using Python Dash or Streamlit. You will focus on creating tools that allow external clients to explore data intuitively and derive actionable insights without needing technical expertise.

• Provide proactive project management by detailing current progress, upcoming milestones, and potential blockers. You are expected to over-communicate with stakeholders, ensuring complete transparency regarding technical decisions and adherence to project deadlines.

• Python experience. Expert level in data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy) and scripting for automation.
• Advanced SQL & Modeling: Deep understanding of Amazon Redshift (or equivalent MPP databases). Ability to write highly optimized queries, design Star/Snowflake schemas, and manage data distribution/sort keys.
• Pipeline Engineering: Proven experience building ETL/ELT pipelines. You should be comfortable with orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, or Cron) and managing complex data dependencies.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with AWS S3 and general cloud storage architecture for data lakes.
• Interactive Visualization: Portfolio of production-grade dashboards built with Python Dash or Streamlit.
• The Consultant Edge: Experience working as an external contractor or in a client-facing role. You must be comfortable with over-communication and managing stakeholder expectations.
